Wow - I'm kind of famous!

Ha Ha ha. I spoke at an event in Mesa called Creative Escape. It is a huge scrapbooking convention of sorts and I was the keynote speaker at the end of it. I have had many people google me I guess and send me emails. A few have found this blog and left me notes. Thanks so much to all of you around the world who took the time to write to me. I'm overwhelmed. How nice of all of you! I haven't thought about this little blog in what ... four months or so? Maybe I'll have to begin posting once and while. Tonight I'm going to sleep but I will put the quotes on here that some of you wanted from my talk soon. Thanks again!

And you were worried... I have complete faith in your talking giving abilities and I'm going to miss them ever-so-much. :)

Melanie - I always LOVED your Gospel Doctrine lessons! They were always fabulous and so I'm sure your CE speech was fabulous too! I will never forget your lesson where you talked about the beam in one's eye and you put that big ol' "beam" of wood (aka a 2x4) up to your head. It was hilarious! There were a ton of others that I loved, but for some reason, that lesson really stuck with me all these years!

You are amazing Melanie. I am definitely a fan of yours. I was lucky enough to hear your gospel doctrine lessons a few times. You shouldn't be surprised that people google you all the time.

Melanie,

they say people enter your life at times and we have no idea why. as I sat and listened to your key note address at CE, I was somewhat restless. you spoke to my heart. as i was blessed to sit and listen to you, a very dear friend of mine was fighting for her life. it was a totally out of the blue complication with nonetheless-a kidney stone! my family and friends didn't tell me as they now how i love being at CE. i went back to my room and thought a lot about what you had to say. i finally fell asleep awakened by a frantic call that my dear friend, brandy, had passed. as i sat there looking out of my room, your message from the night before calmed me. the plane ride home and the following 8 days were a blur. it wasn't until i was sitting at brandy's service watching the slideshow of her life that i realized brandy lived each day as if her "book" started that day. I thank you for your words. i had no idea they would impact me so quickly. thank you for sharing.

Sincerely,

michelle "hollywood" delgado

Melanie...it has been a few weeks since CE and listening to your keynote was by far the most amazing part of the whole event. Every time I get down, or question something, I just think of all that you had to say and somehow I just gain a new perspective and strength. Because of YOU, some things just do not seem so hard anymore. Like Shelby did for you, who made you do hard things, your keynote HELPS ME do and get through hard things. I just LOVE when things come full circle. So amazing huh? You were just incredible, and I will never forget you or your words.
Big Hugs!

Go Mel, go! You should be writing a lot more than you do. So many of us could benefit from it.
