Am I Really Ready??

So - I'm thinking of starting up the photography business again.  I just bought a new expensive camera for my sister-in-law's wedding and I have to pay it off.  I also want this really cool lens.  I LOVE taking pictures.  I think I have a talent for it and I've been doing it off and on for 13 years.  My problem is that I get really stressed out before a shoot and I am such a perfectionist when it comes to editing them that I spend WAY too much time on the back end.  I'm not sure I'm ready to get sick and spend hours in front of the computer.  I'll have to see.  Here is my favorite from a recent shoot.  Isn't he darling??
WHAT TO DO?

From what I've seen, it makes me really happy that you're thinking about starting back up again. Because I want you to take pictures of my kids...if they appear anytime in the near future. The pictures you took of Casey were incredible. I understand about the stress though, yuck. But you're talented and you can do anything.

We have your beautiful mesa temple photograph hanging in the entryway of our new home. We LOVE it. Your work is beautiful. Just give yourself a time limit on editing. Hopefully that keeps you from going overboard. Good luck!

I think that me being the LONG time customer I am, you should practice on my family!! I could use some more "Melanie Amazingness" in my home!!!

YAY! You do SUCH amazing work. I already know people down there (mandee) who want YOU to do their pictures next time they do them. I'm excited for you. You really are SO talented.

I SAY DO IT!!! I definitely would love to have you take pictures for us! We've never had family portraits taken... we've barely had even a silly snapshot of all five of us. I wouldn't want it to make you sick though. As a potential client, it's nice to know that you care so much about your output. ;) I'd love to see your work, and if you love doing this, you definitely should. It's important to have a creative outlet. ;)

Well, again I loved them. And after Josh looked at them he turned to me and said, "She did such a great job!" Sorry to stress you out:( but you were so fantastic with the kiddos and I finally have a family photo that I WANT to hang on the wall. YES!!
